Hotel Memoirs

I feel kind of like a rock star, living in a hotel for multiple days. It’s been an interesting experience…one that makes me feel both very alone and very adventurous. It’s isolating and freeing. I suppose it is mildly reflective of my life in general. That or an old episode of Growing Pains. Either or.

So, I’m heading into my fifth Masters class. Thus far it’s been excruciatingly boring, but the project of the class itself will be outstanding. I enjoy being challenged. I enjoy dreaming. I detest; however, the ‘boys club’ mentality that most men do not even recognize. It’s enough to make me consider quitting now and again, all this hurting – unintentional or otherwise. They definately didn't teach me this in college.

Apparently this is simply a vent fest for me, but I’m kind of done with men for the moment. I’m sure that will not last long, but I really do not understand them at all. Or maybe I do, and therein lies the problem. Relationships are so complicated. Maybe that’s just because it’s not right. I think maybe that’s it. Perhaps, just perhaps, when it’s real – it’s really very simple. Either way – I very much desire to back off for awhile. I’m gonna have some fun with the casual dating scene…with the couple of guys who will actually indulge me in such activities. Fun? Sure. Probably because it has nothing to do with my heart.

Well, aren’t I just in a reflective mood. Hmmm. Perhaps the time is just right for it. Autumn temperatures, the past catching up with me, surrendering, and confusing men… yeah, it’s just that time of year.

Peace out. May you giggle and skip often.

Pink balloons to you all.

My friendsies Mitch and Emily the night they got engaged. A toast for you...*raising my glass*..."May all of your days be as bright as your smiles. May all of your nights be filled with stars. And may the rest of your lives be as beautiful as you." Cheers. Posted by Picasa

A big fat cup of crazy

I know I’ve referenced this before (I mean, hello – my last entry was the theme song), but I LOVE SCRUBS. They actually act out the way I feel, or more accurately – think. “Do you know how annoying you are when you talk?” Favorite line of the night. How OFTEN do I want to say this?!? Oh yeah, “but baby, I was being a walrus.” Another classic.

So, major conundrum amigos. Anyone want to put a vote in as to my next year or two? Over the last year of blogging (yep, almost my anniversary!), I have seen that statement repeated over and over. I tire of my thoughts. I tire of the affects it has on my life. I am really tired of being scared. Once again…”I’m no superman.”

Spiritual journeys are so incredibly journeyish. They’re so tough, but the view from the top is worth it. At least when I’m not too tired to look.

Well, it’s Friday night – I just got off of work – I’m watching Scrubs…yes, this is a good night.

I hope all is well in your land. May it prosper, may it bring you witty retorts and fresh sarcasm.

Give kisses freely, and hug generously…for tomorrow we may die.

Night.

My girls at Sarah's high school registration. Aren't they so beautiful?!  Posted by Picasa
