Someday we'll be together...

You’ve crossed the finish line
Won the race but lost your mind
Was it worth it after all?
I need u here with me
Cause love is all we need,
Just take a hold of the hand that breaks the fall
Well I know what I’ve been told
Gotta break free to break the mold
But I can’t do this all on my own
No I can’t do this all on my own
No I know
That I'm no Superman

The person this blog is dedicated to has no idea it is for them. But every word belongs to you.

Such Great Heights

I, I'm thinking it's a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned. And I have to speculate that God himself did make us into corresponding shapes like puzzle pieces from the clay...

Such an interesting, yet supremely boring week. My own little warp zone is a little perplexing at the moment, and is testing my patience. I am waiting. For what exactly, I have not a clue – except perhaps for everything. I am in a place where I can neither fly forward nor fall back, I must simply stand and wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. And dream.

Okay, so I know this next little diddy is coded, but that is essential. I think I’m in trouble. When did having adventures replace potential opportunities? When did experiences become more vital than reality? Yeah, I’m in trouble. Not of falling in love, but of not.

Enough subtleties. Moving right along. So, I’m reading this incredibly life reflecting book, ‘jemima j’, and it’s very revealing of all of my past (and occasionally current) insecurities. I’m not sure I enjoy being mirrored that accurately by a work of fiction. It’s very Bridget Jones Diary (which I think I’m going to rent tomorrow). All that to say, good literature – total brain candy – inclined to ponder over JJ and myself. *sitting on my thinking stool*

So, now that I’m back in the dating world, it’s not what I thought it would be. It’s definitely exciting, but it’s also confusing as hell. Everyone with their wonderful jewels of wisdom, coupled with my own pathetic attempts at discernment make for an interesting story. Friend dates, real dates, and potential dates all add up to thrilling moments of uncertainty and (pretend) OC moments. Nothing is as expected, but at least with a good soundtrack behind it all.

Okay, peace out my peeps. My bed is my true desire at the moment. My bed, my book, my fan and the dreams of what might happen tomorrow.

Night.

they will see us waving from such great heights, "come down now", they'll saybut everything looks perfect from far away,"come down now", but we'll stay...

Rainbows and thunderclouds

Rainy, gloomy, cool…these are all adjectives describing it outside right now. For some reason it is fitting my mood, in the most delightful way. Don’t you just feel like that sometimes? I very much wish I was not working right now however – I wish I was alone. It is definitely an alone kind of day. Not sad, just solitary.

So, I’m beginning to have a very interesting outlook in regards to ministry. Apathy is definitely an itch, but so are equal parts determination and frustration. It is a very unusual spot to be in. I think I’m just kind of done with my life right now as I know it. I definitely have goals I am reaching towards, but they’re personal. EVERYTHING else is ambiguous at the moment. I have less direction now than I ever have in my entire life. It is a very bizarre feeling to have literally have no idea what is going to happen in your life next week. Very bizarre indeed. And a little lost.

You know what I want? I want a man who will be attentive to the fact that I’m mildly odd. I want rainbows on a stormy day, balloons instead of flowers, a basket of strawberries on a midsummer night, and some snow ice cream he made himself. I want moments and experiences and every day smiles. I want the 30/10 second rule, and I want to trust. I wonder what it is exactly that I need?

Well, I suppose I am off to do homework, and do my job – even though I’d rather be cuddled up reading all day. This is my burden to bear. So have a wonderfully lazy day, be inspired to take someone off guard and make their day. I, am absurdly hooked to watching my email inbox. Such is the way in my world.

Ciao friendsies.

Crazy Sheep

I have this little cartoon sheep who walks around my screen, and occasionally falls from the top. He falls asleep and yawns too. I think I love him. I love the crazy sheep.

So, I have a new favorite show. ‘Scrubs’ is SO stinkin funny. Between that and ‘The OC’ – I am a happy DVD watcher. So happy. Between my shows and my books I almost do not need people anymore. I’m not sure if that’s creepy or terrific. Ponder moment.

Ok, I went to ‘The Killers’ concert on Friday. Great times. Interesting conversations. Good friend. A stellar night all around. It was worth the shout out.

Something new for all my folks out there – I think it’s a possibility I may have met someone. Possibilities are great adventures. I do dig adventures.

Another new interesting turn of events is that I may not have a job come this weekend. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I’m so excited for Susan. This is the best news in the whole world!! However, what on earth am I going to do? You see, this is why I hate summer. Always full of HUGE, MONSTEROUS changes. Please God, just let autumn come. Quickly?

I love my friends. Just had to throw that in there.

“Philosophy is tricky”

Has anyone else read the new Harry Potter book?!? Please call me if you have! I need desperately to talk it out with someone – I am sincerely grieving. There is this whole little world that I feel totally a part of, and that my friends, is GREAT writing. I cried and cried and cried today during the last couple of chapters. Betrayal, friendship, loyalty, falling in love, bravery, courage…oh to the depths in which we desire to be like those we imagine.

Well, I have to be at work super early tomorrow, so hasta manana.

Peace, love and frozen twinkies to you all.

Yes, I realize this is mildly hard to see, but here I am riding a mechanical bull in Gatlinburg, TN. I was with Sarah and Susan - such a super fun weekend. Posted by Picasa

Had to throw this one in too. Posted by Picasa
