My sis Sarah, and her man, Shawn. Here is a pic to go along with the post from earlier. August 27th!!!! Congrats again!!!! Posted by Hello

That's who I am....

Another Eeyore day. Hmmm. I need a moment to whine. I’m achy, my boobs hurt, and I’m STILL writing this same blasted paper. All I want to eat is Hershey bars dipped in a big jar of crunchy peanut butter, and what I want more than anything is to curl up in my chair (that’s in storage grrrr) with a big blanket, my pajamas and read until I fall asleep. Those are my fantasies. Along with Bono, a football game and thunderstorm.

Ok, enough of my whining. I’m done. SOOOOO…I’m going to switch gears entirely and give a happy (requested) shout out. To my seriously happy friends, Mitchy and Emily – may your relationship be filled with the joy of a thousand smiles, the rainbows from a thousand storms, and the tomorrows of a thousand years. May God fulfill all his promises in you, and may you always have the courage to let Him. All my love and support are yours. Cheers.

I actually have a free night this evening. I’m shocked. I don’t know what to do.

Well, I’m off to write some more I suppose. Blah. Have a good one. I plan on it – even if I’m whining and don’t get my chocolate.

“Sometimes I’m clueless and I’m clumsy, but I’ve got friends that love me and know just where I stand. It’s all a part of me, and that’s who I am.”

Peace out.

Thrashing Tigers

Another short one. But worth mentioning. Tonight was a night of evolutions. A night of frienship, honesty, and eclectic music. A night for pilgrimages. A series of cold, rainy moments. I realize I am talking in a mild code, but if you cannot understand...then you were not meant to. It's a new season, a time for new beginnings. A walk through the hills of Scotland to mimic the steps of those who have fought these battles before. And it's facing the mirror test in the Neverending Story. It's who you were meant to be.

Let the adventure begin...

Raise your glass with me...

Just wanted to give a brief shout out to my lovely chicas...Sarah and Kari - happy engagements!! I am so tremendously happy for both of you (Shawn and Mike too!), and it is thrilling to watch the will of God play out in your lives...in the most perfect way. Wow you guys! I don't know what else to say except I love you, and I pray only the choice of true love upon you both for as long as God grants you life. *toasting you both*

My Neverland

Ok. I am so digressing when it comes to my sleep patterns. How old am I again? I have gotten into the horrible habit of staying up late; either out with friends, online, or on the phone – then napping all morning so I can do it all over again. I must confess however, that I am having fun. A lot of it. Perhaps I shan’t change at all. Perhaps I shall just run with it, or not sleep with it as the case may be. Long live coffee and good conversations! Here! Here!

So, in this ‘crazy little thing called love’ there are so many various avenues in which to walk down. The family road, the friendship road, the ‘I date you for fun & to pass the time’ road, the acquaintance dance, the party friends rope, and the all important (and elusive) “relationship”. I find myself on a variety of these paths on any given day. Obviously the “relationship” road alludes me, but I’m not necessarily upset by this news. I’m thinking for awhile, I’d like to see where the ‘I date you for fun’ road takes me. I don’t know if I’m ready for my soul mate just yet, but I’m certainly up for some fun and adventure - in a completely boundaried, appropriate way of course. My question of the hour is as follows…can the friendship road and the ‘fun’ road intersect with any true success? In other words, can I date some of my friends without feeling the need to get into any kind of serious relationship with them? You tell me.

Okay, May 12th YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Bono baby, here I come!

So, I’ve decided that instead of buying a new car (although I seriously yearn for the new mustang *sigh*), I’m going to save my money and go to Europe next year. For at least a month. AND, I actually want to backpack it. Yes, me. Can you believe it? Let’s see, a down payment on a house, or backpacking through Europe for the summer. Eh, I’ll take the adventure any day. Houses are for grown ups.

Btw…for those of you who missed ‘Scrubs’ last night, I am truly sorry. I am SO getting a pet monkey.

Ok well, I’ve got a nap to take people! So I must go indulge in that delightful activity. Another happy, long night awaits me. ;)

Go on an adventure today. Do something spontaneous and unexpected. Surprise me.

Peace, love and a kiss on both cheeks.

My Knights in Shining Armor

What a crazy night. So crazy that I cannot sleep. At all. This is two rescues in one weekend. I’m not sure how I feel about that. It sounds all cool in theory, but not so much when you’re the one being rescued. I think I need to talk it out though. I’m still a little shaky.

First of all, who would have ever thought I would have responded in typical female fashion? I despise being emotional in front of people when it’s personal. And this, was definitely personal. I couldn’t get a grip. I was sitting there thinking to myself, get up and get a weapon, or hide, or SOMETHING for crying out loud. Instead? I just cried. I don’t know if I’ve ever been that scared. Even living in Detroit – I’ve always just felt safe, until tonight. I’ve always just felt strong, and in control, and confident in taking care of myself. Indiana is making me a girl.

(For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about...I thought (still think) someone broke into my house when I was in it. )

My second observation thought is that it’s pretty stinking cool to have five guys willing to rush over and play the hero. If I hadn’t been so scared and being a cry baby, I would have appreciated how hott it was too. Instead, I just felt grateful that I had friends like that. That I HAVE friends like that. My big, bad Central heroes. You have my undying devotion. Not only for rescuing me, but for not laughing.

So, here in no particular order, are my knights in shining armor, and all of these men should be duly noted:
Ben: for being the best ‘rescue 911’ operator ever. You did more than you know.
Cj: thanks for not blowing Ben off and for coming to my rescue with a hammer. Yeah, I noticed.
Mitch: thanks for assisting in my stealth phone-call get away, and for still giving the worlds best hugs.
Mickey: for just picking up and leaving your beer behind. That takes a true man.
Zach: for not asking questions and just coming. That’s what true friendship is all about.
And Chuck: thanks for being willing to run right over, even in your gym shorts. You’re the best.

I think maybe my subconscious is starting to play tricks on me. Two rescues in one weekend? Sounds like I need a man…..or a gun.

Well, I’m off to attempt to get some sleep. I pray my dreams will be of my knights and not of my fears. I swear, like most girls, one of my biggest fears is being alone and raped while being robbed or whatever. I’m still not sure I’m okay. I never thought I’d be this girl. One in need of rescuing. Not in any sense of the word.

I guess times are changing.

KareBearFun

I have referenced before the perpetual time warp I live in. Never really knowing if it’s day or night. It is perplexing at best, but I realized tonight – that it’s a strange haze that has me appreciating it. It’s after 9pm, and it feels like the middle of the day. My apartment has officially exploded. My radio is blaring Emily’s slut mix, I’m writing this in my undies because it’s hotter than six hells down here, and ALL my lights are on. I really AM Mr. Brightside. It’s contagious I say.

I think maybe I do really want it all. And it’s never ‘just’ a kiss.

SO, back to my pseudo apartment exploding. I have decided to put every single article of clothing that I own in my living room, and sort through what I want, and what does and doesn’t fit anymore. I am happy to say that a lot of what I wore last summer does NOT fit! YAY!!!!! Either way, if my closet doesn’t stop vomiting I’m gonna drown in my own orgy of greed. (too many clothes that is).

Sometimes you just got to smile when you think about your friends. My bro Brandon is one crazy trip. He always has the best advice. And he says it in a way that always makes me smile. It’s nice to have friends like that.

Did you know my lamp has feet? Three of them. Weird.

Emily, this CD is freakin great! I feel like I’m in a Jimmy Eat World video. *taking a break to dance* Not to be confused with breakdancing.

So, my vacation is almost officially over. A lot actually transpired this week for me being so successfully random and non-focused. I’ve learned that I love shopping more than eating, that honesty is more important than fear, that heroes come at all times of the night, dead animals in my furnace make me cry, that true brothers listen even when you’re not speaking, and that I’ve made the decision to be European in regards to transportation. We’ll see out it plays out. Yeah, we’ll see.

I have two new countdowns. U2 with Ann, and Vegas with Brandon (if we can get our bank accounts together). Party on Wayne.

Well, I’m off to dance some more, try on many more cutsie outfits, indulge in a little SITC, and maybe pluck a little on my guitar. Yep, sounds like a plan till later. Be interesting to see how this night ends up…yeah, it’s gonna be fun. ;)

Ciao my homies. And what the heck, peace too.
